“CHERRIES” The image was printed in sepia, the background excised and the cutout mounted to theJapanese paper which contains multi colored silk fibers.

“TSUBA” and Tiffany’s firehood. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum in WinterPark Florida acquired the iron and eisenglass fireplace hood that was originally in the Tiffany house on Madison Avenue and later moved to Laurelton Hall on Long Island.

This hood is of particular interest because it employed the decorative devices of “tsuba”- the ornate sword guards of the Japanese Samurai. Tiffany acquired a large number of these and employed them as decorative devices in numerous ways. I had the privilege of creating four 1/1 collages for the Museum’s gift shop using a variety of Japanese and Tibetan papers.

“TRIPLE FUCHSIS” Again, this is a grouping of the A and B Fuchias tiles executed as a collage. Printed in blue, the backgrounds excised , and the cutout image mounted to A Japanese paper. For this composition, I created an Aesthetic Movement- inspired Prunus border and bamboo dividers . Despite the repetition of the design, each collage is a 1/1, with no combination of papers and prints ever being repeated.
